Nancy Torres was born in San Francisco and raised on the Peninsula. She started painting at an early age, and later attended the University of California at Santa Barbara. She loves color and the movement of paint and light working together. Nature is her inspiration. “I am inspired by nature and the beauty within the world. I use color and light to convey my emotions in my work. I try to make this same connection with these emotions and each individual who views my work,” she explains.
Nancy paints figuratives and landscapes, as well as abstract. She currently paints and teaches out of her Burlingame Studio, Art Attack. Her work is shown locally, and included in private collections in Utah, Idaho, California, and Amsterdam.
