  Boris Kramer

Boris Kramer was born in Ontario Canada and completed a degree in Fine Arts at McMaster University. Kramer’s early influences with metal can be attributed to his father, who was a blacksmith. Art and metal were a part of daily life. Kramer is fascinated by human relationships and uses his sculpture to explore the forces that draw us together and separate us from ourselves and each other. “I am a sculptor. I heat and hand forge metal until it gives form to expressions of human energy as it engages and relates,” he explains. Kramer’s influences are diverse, with a belief that the forging process is the seeking of form in a balance that supports its own meaning. Kramer has shown his artwork in galleries in Canada and the United States. His sculptures are exhibited in corporate and private collections and can be found in many galleries around the world.
