Gladys Hoefer has lived and maintained her studio in Hillsborough, California for the past 24 years. Using the natural beauty of California for her inspiration, garnered from frequent travels and from her own back yard.

Hoefer creates impressionistic representations in both oils and watercolors. Her botanicals are a natural extension of her interests, combining individualized artistic interpretation with classical techniques of 19th century naturalist illustration.
