Trish Hurley’s plein-air, atmospheric landscapes are inspired by her love for the outdoors and the ever-changing weather of New England. Her oil paintings are personal in size, inviting the viewer into the intimacy of the moment and space. With each painting, she strives to awaken all of the senses by capturing the dramatics of light and dimension.
Hurley received a Master of Fine Arts in painting from the University of Massachusetts/Dartmouth and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in painting from Swain School of Design.
A native New Englander, she now resides in Rhode Island and instructs at the Newport Art Museum.
